Tucker Stokes has been a professional photographer for more than 6 years. He first got his break into the photography business when he was hired by a local photography studio while attending Auburn University. While working there, Tucker photographed weddings and social events all throughout eastern Alabama and western Georgia.
In 2008, Tucker moved to Massachusetts to attend the Hallmark Institute of Photography, a world renowned photography school, and completed the very intensive 1 year program. Upon graduation in 2009, Tucker moved back to Auburn to start his own photography business. Specializing in weddings and portraits, but more than willing to take on commercial photography, Stokes Portrait and Wedding Design was started.
Combining a strong technical knowledge of photography and lighting and a creative style, Tucker strives to make each job a work of art and to capture the little details that make all the difference in the world.
"I believe it is the little things that make life special. The expression of a groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time or the look in the mother's eye when her daughter says "I do" to your child's first portrait. I believe in capturing these moments because these are the most important moments in a person's life. For that reason, I believe photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What is caught on film is captured forever… it remembers the little things, long after you have forgotten everything." Working with Tucker was an amazing experience. He was very attentive to what I wanted from my wedding photos, and ensured that he did not miss a thing. He was not in any way invasive of my special day, but I believe he actually made it better! His experience with weddings was incredibly helpful when it came to cutting the cake, etc.
I knew that if I allowed Tucker creative freedom with photographing the wedding I would have excellent, one of a kind images. I was right! Tucker took my husband and I to a few special locations that he had thought about in advance and the results were amazing! His instructions for positioning/posing were clear and easy, and I've never looked so good (if I do say so myself) before in pictures. My only problem now is deciding which ones I want to have printed and hung on the wall!
